Eric Stracener

PARTNER

Eric Stracener is a founding member of Stracener and Neely, and has been practicing law in Mississippi state and Federal courts since 1996.  Eric has an "A.V. Preeminent" rating, which is universally recognized as the highest peer rating available.

 

Eric's practice consists almost entirely of civil litigation on behalf of parties who have been wronged or injured.  Stracener and Neely has significant experience in handling cases involving wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, 18 wheeler and other vehicular accidents. Eric and his partner Andrew Neely, have tried many six and seven figure cases to verdict, and successfully defended these on appeal.  The firm has also settled scores of six and seven figure cases on behalf of deserving clients.  

 

Community and professional service are important to Eric and the firm.  Eric has served the Mississippi Bar's Committee for Character and Fitness, The Lawyer and Judges Assistance Program, and has served on the Board of the Mississippi Association of Justice.  Eric has also served as Board President of the Jackson Zoo, and has served the Presbytery of Mississippi.

Andrew Neely

PARTNER

Andrew is in his 18th year of law practice, and the last eleven as member and law partner with Eric Stracener. Andrew works primarily in civil litigation, handling cases ranging from complex medical malpractice to insurance coverage disputes.

 

Andrew has served hundreds of nursing home negligence clients, and has tried numerous cases to a verdict. Andrew also maintains a Wills and Estates practice, working with clients to ensure that their financial and personal desires for the future are secure and achieved.

 

A  lifelong Jackson resident, Andrew currently serves as President of the Board of the Briarwood Pool, a neighborhood community pool. Additionally, Andrew is on the board of directors for Mississippi Makos Swim Team, and has previously served as board president for the Our Fondren Neighborhood Association.

Andrew is married with two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his children and coaching their sports teams, in addition to reading, running, and traveling.

 

Andrew is a 2006 Mississippi College School of Law graduate (cum laude), and a 2000 Millsaps College graduate (BBA in Business Administration). Andrew is also fluent in Spanish.
